  • This is a gulping cup of "Byakudan" from the Urushimasu series, which uses gold powder to beautifully express a pattern like sparkling running water. The traditional technique of applying lacquer over a pattern drawn with gold and silver leaf and powder is called "Byakudan-Nuri." The color of the lacquer will change over time, and you can enjoy the pleasure of growing the product as you use it.

【Craftsmanship and Attention to Detail】

The "Urushi-Ma" series features a stainless steel body finished with Tsubame-Sanjo polishing techniques and coated with lacquer from Yamanaka Lacquerware, a traditional craft. Applying lacquer to stainless steel, unthinkable in common sense, was made possible by developing an original material for the undercoating instead of applying lacquer directly to stainless steel.

The upper part of the inside has a mirror finish, while the lower part is polished to a mirror-like finish.

The secret to maintaining the freshly brewed temperature.

The double-layer construction prevents water droplets and keeps the beer cool. The outer surface is finished with lacquer to add a moist texture and softness to the mouth while taking advantage of the functionality of the stainless steel material.

Calculated polishing technique

The upper part of the inner surface is mirror-finished, while the lower part is polished in a spiral shape to create a creamy foam the moment beer is poured.

 

The unique texture of lacquer, which is soft and comfortable to the fingertips and soft to the touch, can be enjoyed without any loss. Lacquer has a unique aging process; the lacquer color is a dark candy color immediately after it is applied, but the color will change to a lighter shade at various speeds as it is used, depending on the living environment and frequency of use.
