【Craftsmanship and Attention to Detail】

Development of original material "Foil-faced patterned leather

Hishiya's original material, "Foil pattern leather," made of cowhide leather with a "foil surface design," was developed in collaboration with world-renowned foil craft artist Reisho Yuto. By using gravure roll textile printing to express the "foil surface pattern" created by the foil craft technique of Reisho Yuto, who reproduces works of art with high precision, Hishiya has created an original material suitable for everyday use.

High-Definition Reproduction Techniques

Yuto Reisho is a foil craftsman who has been involved in reproducing national treasures and important cultural properties. He uses gold and silver foil, which is said to be as thick as 0.0001 mm, to freely manipulate the foil's expression and vividly express the foil's colors. In the process of making a high-resolution facsimile of the Wind God and Thunder God folding screens and from his own artwork, he has succeeded in reproducing a foil foot pattern that has become more elegant after several hundred years. This is the foil surface pattern.
