  • This is a traditional sasara made of hemp palm.

The fibers are dense and small in size so that it can reach the corners of a lunch box or an egg cooker. It is also safe for cleaning Teflon-coated frying pans and around the stove.

  • Raw materials: hemp palm, stainless steel

Place of production: Kainan City, Wakayama Prefecture

    Size: 2.5 x 11 x 2.5 cm 0.98x4.3x 0.98in

    Before use

The products of Takada Kozo Shoten are handmade by craftsmen, so the shape and size may differ slightly. This is because we do not use a scale to weigh each product but rather adjust it based on our craftsman's intuition while feeling the state of the fibers with our fingertips.

Because it is a natural material, some fiber powder may appear at the beginning of use.

  • Please note all orders and sale items are final sale, and cannot be returned or exchanged.  We are bettering the fulfillment flow right now. Apologies for the inconvenience.

【Craftsmanship and Attention to Detail】

Palm fiber that can be washed well

For Sasara, hemp palms are carefully selected from Japan and overseas and carefully bound one by one by our craftsmen using a technique called "Tsuzuri" (stainless steel wire).

The natural hardness and elasticity of the hemp palms remove only dirt without damaging the surface of your precious tableware.

Scrubbing off dirt with a surface

Unlike a scrubbing brush, in which the individual fibers act as dots to scrub away dirt, the "sasara," with its bundled fibers, scrubs away dirt with a surface.

It will surely be helpful when you want to scrub intensively the stains strongly stuck to the surface.
