  • This is a straight cup from the exquisite lacquer polish series called "Byakudan" (White Sandalwood), beautifully depicting a sparkling flowing water pattern using gold powder. The traditional technique used in applying lacquer over patterns created with gold and silver foil or powder is called "Byakudan-nuri" (White Sandalwood lacquer). In the Byakudan series of lacquer polish, a unique decorative method called "Urushinagashi" is employed to express the brilliance. Over time, the colors gradually change and fade, allowing you to enjoy the pleasure of using and nurturing it.
